Presentation Summary: Addiction liaison team (ELSA in French) provide care at the bedside of hospitalized patients, whether or not their condition is related to addiction. Managing opioid-dependent patients suffering from pain-related issues requires a specific care organization. We have observed that this population may be reluctant to seek care at addiction treatment centers due to various stigmas associated with substance use disorders. Through several case studies, we will present the care pathway and the role of the ELSA for patients with suspected opioid use disorder related to prescription opioids (tramadol, codeine, oxynorm, morphine, fentanyl), covering detection, reporting, and management.
