Dr. John Mahan MD, FASAM, FAPA, is the Chief Medical Officer of Jackson County, OR Department of Health & Human Services. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine, having completed medical school at Oregon Health & Science University and Residency and Fellowship at the University of Utah. With a strong foundation in community-based mental health care, including integrating the treatment of opioid use disorder, he has expanded his reach as Public Health Officer to further expand options for care through public policy and coordination.
