Dr. Melinda Turner is a board-certified Addiction and Emergency Medicine Physician. After training at Caltech, Johns Hopkins and the University of Michigan, she practiced emergency medicine for 18 years and founded and led the Tennessee Emergency Medical Associates. During the COVID pandemic, she decided to stop reacting to the emergency in front of her, and start preventing overdoses and improving outcomes through high-quality addiction care. She is now the medical director for an opioid treatment program at Behavioral Health Group's Nashville Treatment Center.
