Erin LaCourt, MSDS, LAC, MATS, ccdp, cadc, cadacII has been a 25+-year advocate of risk and harm reduction in both the medical and behavioral health domains. Ms. LaCourt has worked in the field of Medication Assisted Treatment since 2003, spending that time at Victory Clinical Services in South Bend, Indiana. Ms. LaCourt is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science. She was first a volunteer for AIDS Ministries/AIDS Assist in the Prevention and Education Department as a peer educator and then hired for public relations and grantwriting. Ms. LaCourt later worked in the public sector at Michiana Area Council of Governments serving Elkhart, Marshall and St. Joseph Counties, Indiana with public health education, grantwriting, and economic development planning – helping to stretch local resources. Moving to direct client services, Ms. LaCourt completed studies and practicum at Victory Clinic and Alcohol Addictions Resource Center, with board credentialing in Indiana and Michigan and licensure in Indiana.
Currently, Ms. LaCourt serves as President to the Indiana Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence. She is the Indiana Delegate to the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence Board, upon which she serves as Secretary. As Program Director at Victory Clinical Services, she has overseen the expansion of services to include all FDA-approved treatment medications, outpatient treatment and group services with evidence-based curriculums, inclusion of Intensive Outpatient Treatment, and continuation of treatment medication for patients in the St. Joseph County Jail system. At the state level, Ms. LaCourt has worked with other providers for the culmination of years of effort to obtain Medicaid and Medicare coverage for opioid treatment services, the inclusion of all FDA-approved treatment medications in the billing codes and now alignment with the federal regulatory updates to 42 CFR Part 8.
