Daniel Teixeira da Silva, MD, MSHP, (He/Him) is Director of the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. He leads public health efforts to prevent drug-related deaths and the potential harms associated with drug use, and improve care for people who use drugs in Philadelphia. In addition, he serves as the Principal Investigator on Philadelphia’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Overdose Data to Action program. Dr. Teixeira da Silva is a board-certified internal medicine and pediatric physician. He received his medical degree from Boston University and Masters of Health Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
