Irlene Sweets has worked in the human services field in Pennsylvania for nearly 30 years. Her career began in a community corrections center as a counselor and counselor supervisor and progressed to include working with adolescents.
Irlene began her public service with the Commonwealth in 2005 as a Camp Hill Prison counselor. She also worked as a Licensing Specialist under the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Irlene currently serves as the Program Representative Supervisor under the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Bureau of Licensure. In this role, she supervises four program representatives and oversees all complaints, unusual incidents, and exceptions requests regarding drug and alcohol treatment facilities in Pennsylvania that are submitted to DDAP.
Irlene earned her BA from Morris Brown College and MA from Pennsylvania State University. She currently lives in Harrisburg and is an active member in the community and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
