Yuseff has been dedicated to service and advocacy in our underserved communities for over 20 years. His 23 years of sustained recovery are a testament to the benefits and positive outcomes of Medication Assisted Recovery. As a Certified Medication Assisted Treatment Advocate and Peer Professional, it is imperative to address the stigma associated with recovery. Mr. Wilson is married, gainfully employed and actively involved in his community, all a testiment to active engagement in one's recovery and the power of change. Yuseff is dedicated in the life mission to stop stigma and promote healthy, evidence-based solutions that are crucial to healing. Selflessness, compassion, and service are all driven by Yuseff's belief in the Islamic Faith. His values include empathy, humility, pride, professionalism, and overcoming the stigma associated with recovery and MAR.
Medication Assisted Recovery has afforded Yuseff the opportunity to use his lived-expertise in employment with various interdisciplinary teams including Mobile Crisis, SUD Outpatient Clinic, NYP and Mount Sinai CPEP units. Yuseff has a strong work ethic and never looks for recognition or applause. Utilizing his passion for advocacy, Yuseff enjoys navigating systems, sharing resources, and his "story" to motivate people to seek treatment. Yuseff specializes in substance use disorders and the navigation of treatment resources. "We have a humanitarian obligation to help remedy the deadly opioid epidemic by taking action.". The first step- is uniification, to STOP STIGMA NOW… Yuseff employs storytelling as a powerful advocacy strategy, sharing his personal journey to inspire others and illustrating the possibility of recovery. He also engages in community education initiatives, hosting workshops and seminars that aim to dispel myths and provide accurate information about Medication Assisted Recovery. Additionally, Yuseff collaborates with local organizations to develop support networks, ensuring that those in recovery or those who are still struggling, have access to the resources needed for success and improved overall wellness.
