Scott Luetgenau, MSW, LCAS, CSI is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Gatespring, a national public health and addiction consulting firm that supports communities in building evidence-based, locally tailored responses to substance use. With over a decade of experience in direct care, program leadership, and systems-level strategy, Scott has guided opioid treatment providers, local governments, and public health systems through complex clinical and policy landscapes.
He previously oversaw North Carolina’s largest opioid treatment program, served in leadership roles on multiple statewide boards, and helped develop addiction recovery courses for NC State University’s School of Social Work. He also leads national technical assistance efforts, including a recent learning collaborative guiding detention centers through the integration of MOUD.
Scott is a person in long-term recovery, committed to bridging the gaps between treatment, recovery, harm reduction, and prevention. His work centers equity, impact, and practical implementation that makes a difference in real lives.
