Presentation Summary: The AATOD Board of Directors meeting convenes at the beginning of the conference and represents the only Board Meeting that is completely open to the public. These open board meetings convene every 18 months. The board meeting features a number of AATOD policy initiatives and includes policy updates with regard to professional liability issues, AATOD’s legislative issues in addition to presentations from federal regulatory agencies, which have jurisdiction in providing oversight to opioid treatment programs. The board agenda is a combination of AATOD’s quarterly business activities, the standing Board committees’ reports, and major policy recommendations.

At the completion of this activity, participants will:
  • Discuss AATOD's policy initiatives.
  • Identify current challenges and solutions for treatment programs.
  • Explain policy recommendations for the treatment of opioid use disorders.
