Presentation Summary: Getting people to the right dose of methadone safely and quickly is one of the most important things an OTP can do. Ensuring patients take their methadone, at the right dose, every single day is equally as important. We will discuss SAMHSA's Final Rule and the ways it supports individualized treatment, including empowering more evidence-based medical decision making over regulatory barriers. We will focus on split dosing, management of missed days of dosing, and increasing access to take home doses as a way to improve patient retention and achieve patient goals.
